Laneige Water Bank Serum

Your skin is one of your most important features because it can be very indicative of your health and hygiene. If you take care of your skin, you will appear younger, healthier and more vibrant. I'm always on the hunt for good skin care products and recently, a new brand of skin care was launched at Sephora. Laneige is a skin care company that makes a wide range of products. I received a sample of Laneige's Water Bank Serum as a part of Influenster's latest Canadian vox box.

Laneige is a company that made its start in Asia and is finally being brought to the North America market. Using the power of mineral water, Laneige skin care products have many healing qualities and  hydrating properties.

The Water Bank Serum is enriching and very hydrating. It can be applied all over a freshly washed face. It contains hydro ionized mineral water and penetrates deep into your pores to make skin look and feel more supple. 

Just before I received this serum, I had experienced a skin reaction to another product and my skin was left very dry and irritated. I tested the serum on my inner wrist and neck and did not have a reaction to it so I tried it on my face. Within a day, my skin was fully hydrated and the dry patch was gone. 

I'm very impressed with this product from Laneige. It is cooling, hydrating, has a fresh light scent, and is not harsh.

LVX Fall 2015 Narcissist

Hello again!

In today's post, I'll be showing you the last colour from LVX's Fall 2015 collection. 

Narcissist is an elegant metallic teal that is full of dimension. It has fine sparkles throughout. 

It applies like a dream and is opaque in 2 light coats. 

It's so dark and mysterious. A gorgeous shade for the fall.

Normally I add nail art to my swatches but this polish is beautiful enough on its own.

Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick Double Dare

Hello friends!

Today's lipstick swatch is of a new shade for Fall by Kat Von D. Her Everlasting Liquid Lipstick line is my favourite brand of liquid lipstick I have tried so far. They dry with a matte finish but are definitely not drying on the lips. They leave your lips looking and feeling supple and soft and does not crack.

This shade is called Double Dare and it is described as a cocoa blush. It is a reddish pink shade with slightly brown undertones.

So easy to apply with the long handle and sponge applicator.

Although Lolita has my heart, Double Dare is a close second because it's a bit of a brighter reddish shade so is more feminine and warm.

LVX Fall 2015 Sienna

So now that everyone is back at school, it's pretty much safe to say that summer is over and we're moving into fall. To some, this time of the year can be a bit depressing because the warm weather is coming to an end but for me, it signals the switch from bright neon colours of summer to deep, rich darker shades.

Today's post is about another colour from LVX's Fall 2015 collection. 

This brick red beauty is Sienna, a brown tinged medium red cream that is opaque in 1 coat. I used 2 for the swatch.

This is one of my favourite shades from the collection. It's so rich and warm.

Here I paired it with a decal made using the advanced stamping technique and a stamping plate from the Shangri La Collection by Bundle Monster. The other polishes used are Monarch and Narcissist, also from LVX's Fall 2015 Collection.

LVX Fall 2015 Rhone

Hello again!

Today's post showcases another jelly polish from LVX's Fall 2015 collection. They are inspired by fashion trends of the season, straight from the runways.

Rhone is a pink toned sheer polish that is delicate and light but can be built up to an opaque pink.

In one coat, Rhone is pretty and creates a subtle pink mani.

Rhone is a bit different from Nu because it is more pink and Nu is more a peachy nude.

I added 2 more layers to create this opaque look.

I added a sketch of a rose as an accent nail. This is such a lovely shade of pink!

LVX Fall 2015 Militaire

Hi hi loves!

Today marks the first day back to school for many. Summer is officially winding down and it's time to make way for the Fall. In this post, I'll be showing you another polish from LVX's Fall 2015 Collection.

Militaire is a gorgeous creamy light grey with green undertones.

It applies opaque and evenly. I used 2 coats with no top coat in the swatch.

In this photo, you can see that it is slightly green tinted.

LVX Fall 2015 Nu

Hello loves!

Fall is my favourite season because I love the fashions and colour trends. LVX's Fall collection exemplifies this perfectly.

Up next from LVX's Fall 2015 collection is Nu, a beautiful sheer nude.

There are 2 jelly polishes in this collection, Nu and Rhone. Nu is more of a nude shade so it has peach undertones. Rhone is more of a sheer pink.

Here is Nu with one coat so you can see how sheer it is.

Because it's a sheer nude, I did a French manicure with it. So classy! I used nail vinyls by Snail Vinyls to complete this look.

I posted on Instagram that the French mani is the quintessential bridal mani because it's simple so it doesn't overshadow your ring and it's classic and  timeless.

Being me however, I can't leave a simple mani alone so I added some silver.
