Biore Baking Soda Cleanser

Hi everyone!

I was recently given the opportunity to review a new product by Biore. It's a facial care line that uses baking soda!

I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.

Biore Baking Soda Pore Cleanser is a mild facial scrub that gets into your pores and cleans out the dirt and oil. Baking soda creates a foaming action that helps get rid of the excess oil. I've been using it for a couple of weeks now and have found my skin to be smoother and feels revitalized, which is greatly needed after the cold winter. I can definitely feel that there is new skin being brought out through the cleanser.

The Biore Baking Soda Cleansing Scrub is very different from any other product I've tried. It is a powder that gets activated as you add a bit of water. It dissolves into the skin which prevents you from over scrubbing your face, which could end up being more damaging than helpful. My face felt very clean after using this product. The main thing to remember though is moisturizing is a must after using this cleanser because it does such a good job at removing oil and debris from your skin.

It's hard to show you the changes in my skin but I can tell you that I do feel a difference in the smoothness of my face. :)

I would definitely recommend this product because the cleaning action of the baking soda leaves your skin feeling refreshed. It has a nice light scent and is hypoallergenic.

LVX Winter Resort 2016 Cirque

Hi everyone!

The weather outside hasn't been very frightful this season and I'm definitely not complaining. With the change in season, I have a new Winter collection to share with from LVX.

LVX polishes are non-toxic, cruelty-free, vegan friendly, chip and UV resistant. They are inspired by runway trends for the season.

The first shade I have to show you is a dusty pink rose colour called Cirque. Pictured is 2 coats with no top coat.

It's so flirty and feminine. This'll definitely be my go-to pink for the season.

I added some cute dots for an accent nail. The white polish is also from the winter collection and it is called Lait, a creamy off-white.

LVX polishes can be purchased at their website www.shoplvx.com

OPI Starlight Collection

Hello friends!

I recently received some OPI polishes from Preen.me as a part of their Preen Me VIP program. OPI has launched their Starlight collection for the holiday season and it features many sparkly beauties. I have the privilege of showing you 6 out of 18 upcoming shades.

The first one up is called I Drive A Supernova, a silver Chrome polish that is easy to apply and has a beautiful finish.

Next is Is This Star Taken, a silver polish with holographic bar glitter throughout.

I applied a couple of layers of top coat to smooth it out.

Ce-less-tial is More is another sparkly glitter polish with a slightly rose gold finish.

Guys & Galaxies is one of the non-sparkly shades in the collection but it's rich and deep and perfect for the holidays.

No More Mr. Night Sky is a dark, graphite gray with lots of micro holographic glitter.

And finally we have Ro-man-ce on the Moon, a ruby red polish with light shimmer. The consensus is that this is THE perfect holiday shade!

The Starlight Collection is available now for the holiday season and there are many more beautiful shades in the collection. Be sure to visit www.opi.com and www.preen.me for more info!

Picture Polish Nail Art Quarterly

Hello friends!

I did a challenge recently through Picture Polish. The theme was Geometric. I used the Picture Polish shades Wisteria, a warm lavender purple, Citrus, a bright orange cream, and Majesty, a pretty rose gold shimmer polish.

My lines aren't very straight but I tried! I do like the peek-a-boo sections with Majesty though.

Picture Polish is a brand from Australia. They are available for purchase through Picture Polishes website.

NYX Cosmetics Crimson Blush

Hello lovelies!

Recently I had the opportunity to attend the launch/after party for NYX Cosmetics, held by my faves at Lotus Leaf Style. NYX Cosmetics will be opening its first flagship Canadian store in Toronto, Ontario this October!

Currently, NYX Cosmetics are only available in Canada in drugstores like Rexall and London Drugs. Sometimes the inventory is sparse at the drugstores so the announcement of its own stand-alone store has many Toronto-area beauty enthusiasts extremely excited!

I was lucky enough to schmooze with some big beauty bloggers and makeup artists at the event. It was a great way to see some of the products that will be available at the new store.

I also got to indulge in some yummy treats! Black and pink sliders! How trendy!

And some extra yummy pastries and sweets courtesy of The Purple Cupcake.

At the end of the night, I received a NYX Cosmetics swag bag, fully stocked with everything you need to beautify your face!

These were some of my fave items!

I had to try out the red blush because I've never used anything like it before.

It's called Crimson and it's the perfect red blush!

It's bright and vibrant and can either create a bold avant garde look or a subtle warm, rosy cheek.

I applied it lightly over my cheeks to create a flushed look.

Such a pretty look! It shows up much better than pink blush does!

The flagship Canadian NYX Cosmetics store will be located at 363 Queen St. W. Toronto, Ontario. I don't have an exact grand opening date yet but it will be in October 2015. Make sure you follow NYX Cosmetics on Instagram for more info!

Laneige Water Bank Serum

Hello gorgeous!

Your skin is one of your most important features because it can be very indicative of your health and hygiene. If you take care of your skin, you will appear younger, healthier and more vibrant. I'm always on the hunt for good skin care products and recently, a new brand of skin care was launched at Sephora. Laneige is a skin care company that makes a wide range of products. I received a sample of Laneige's Water Bank Serum as a part of Influenster's latest Canadian vox box.

Laneige is a company that made its start in Asia and is finally being brought to the North America market. Using the power of mineral water, Laneige skin care products have many healing qualities and  hydrating properties.

From Laneige's website: Laneige has moisture

-recharging magnesium. Cell metabolism boosting manganese.

Cell-renewing zinc. Moisture-locking ceramide. Collagen restoring

bio-peptides.

The Water Bank Serum is enriching and very hydrating. It can be applied all over a freshly washed face. It contains hydro ionized mineral water and penetrates deep into your pores to make skin look and feel more supple.

Just before I received this serum, I had experienced a skin reaction to another product and my skin was left very dry and irritated. I tested the serum on my inner wrist and neck and did not have a reaction to it so I tried it on my face. Within a day, my skin was fully hydrated and the dry patch was gone.

I'm very impressed with this product from Laneige. It is cooling, hydrating, has a fresh light scent, and is not harsh.

Laneige products are now available at Sephora stores in Canada as well as online. Visit www.sephora.ca and www.us.laneige.com more info!
