LaCC Spring/Summer 2015

Hello lovelies!!

It's been a while since I've posted anything. I've been busy at work, went on vacation, and have a wedding to plan lol. I'm sorry I've neglected you, my dear blog!

Today I'm going to do something a little different. I'm going to showcase an entire collection in one post rather than splitting it up into individual posts. I figured at least I'll be able to show you everything in case I get busy again over the next few days.

One of my favourite brands is La Couleur Couture or LaCC. They are founded by Farima Hakkak, a young female Canadian entrepreneur. The are free from harmful chemicals like formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, dibutyl phthalate, toluene, and camphor. Creamy application with a chip and UV resistant formula, LaCC Beauty products are comparable to high end department store brands. They can be found online at  or in Shoppers Drug Mart stores in Canada.

The Spring/Summer 2015 collection is full of fun colours perfect for drinks on the patio or fun picnics at the park!

First up is 1993, a beige toned nude. It is a creme polish and perfectly opaque in 2 coats.

I added some lacy black florals over top

Next we have 1973, a mint green creme.

This is my favourite shade of the collection. The mint green is so pretty!!
I added some pretty florals and polka dots to go with this vintage theme.

Next shade is 1957, a light baby pink.

The Moroccan design was done with stencils from Snail Vinyls.

Now we have 1956, a pastel coral peach.

Such a gorgeous colour!! Perfect for Spring and Summer!

The next colour is 1953, a medium pink creme. This one is darker than 1957.

This pink is warm and bright. I added some plumeria flower accents.

Finally we have 1961, a bright vibrant orange.

This one was extremely opaque and I only used 1 coat for the swatch.
I added some flame accents.

The LaCC Spring/Summer 2015 collection is full of beautiful shades that are easy to apply and match the season perfectly. Visit LaCC's website for more info on how you can order yours!

Favorite White Polish: Nina Ultra Pro French White

Hello lovelies!

So I often get asked what my favourite white polish is or which white polish do I recommend. Today's post is dedicated to that white polish. My favourite white polish is French White by Nina Ultra Pro.

What sets this polish apart from others is its wider brush which allows for easy application in almost one stroke.

This white polish is opaque in one coat. I use this polish more than any other polish in my collection.

White polish is often the base for my nail art so I rely heavily on a good quality white. If you can apply it cleanly, white polish creates a crisp, neat manicure.

Here's an example of how I use white as a base for nail art

Nina Ultra Pro polishes are free from formaldehyde, toluene, and dibutylphthalate. They are sold at Sally beauty supplies stores.

Bonita Colors Royal Wishes

Happy Sunday Funday!

For today's post, I have a swatch of a new shade by Bonita Colors called Royal Wishes. It is a beautiful Royal blue with purple micro-glitter.

It's from the Fabulously Diva collection and it is so pretty!

I used one coat to get this coverage. Yes, one coat!

The micro-glitter is perfect! It adds the perfect shimmery dimension to this polish.

I used this as the base for a mani inspired by my Fast Food Galaxy socks from Living Royal which can be purchased at www.livingroyal.com

So cute right?? I have a video of how I painted the hamburger on my Instagram page.

Bonita polishes are available at Rite Aid drugstores and retail for less than $3. They are good quality polishes for a drug store brand. Visit their webpage for more info: www.bonitacolors.com

Trust Fund Beauty Hollywood Hipster

Hello love bugs!

Spring has officially sprung! Goodbye to the dark cold winter and hello to a bright refreshing spring! We can put the dark shades to the side and bring out the pastels and vibrant colours.

Today's post showcases one of the season's top colour trends. This pastel Aqua is called Hollywood Hipster by Trust Fund Beauty. It is from the new Beverly Thrills collection.

This gorgeous mint green with blue undertones is a perfect creme polish which applies like butter!

In the swatch, I used 2 coats with top coat.

I'm in love with this shade!

I recently received some cute socks by Living Royal and they totally match this polish so I used it as the base for a mani inspired by these socks. These are their Donut crew socks. Living Royal products can be found at www.livingroyal.com

I have a video tutorial for the donuts on my Instagram page.
