LVX Fall 2015 Rhone

Hello again!

Today's post showcases another jelly polish from LVX's Fall 2015 collection. They are inspired by fashion trends of the season, straight from the runways.

Rhone is a pink toned sheer polish that is delicate and light but can be built up to an opaque pink.

In one coat, Rhone is pretty and creates a subtle pink mani.

Rhone is a bit different from Nu because it is more pink and Nu is more a peachy nude.

I added 2 more layers to create this opaque look.

I added a sketch of a rose as an accent nail. This is such a lovely shade of pink!

LVX Fall 2015 Militaire

Hi hi loves!

Today marks the first day back to school for many. Summer is officially winding down and it's time to make way for the Fall. In this post, I'll be showing you another polish from LVX's Fall 2015 Collection.

Militaire is a gorgeous creamy light grey with green undertones.

It applies opaque and evenly. I used 2 coats with no top coat in the swatch.

In this photo, you can see that it is slightly green tinted.

LVX Fall 2015 Nu

Hello loves!

Fall is my favourite season because I love the fashions and colour trends. LVX's Fall collection exemplifies this perfectly.

Up next from LVX's Fall 2015 collection is Nu, a beautiful sheer nude.

There are 2 jelly polishes in this collection, Nu and Rhone. Nu is more of a nude shade so it has peach undertones. Rhone is more of a sheer pink.

Here is Nu with one coat so you can see how sheer it is.

Because it's a sheer nude, I did a French manicure with it. So classy! I used nail vinyls by Snail Vinyls to complete this look.

I posted on Instagram that the French mani is the quintessential bridal mani because it's simple so it doesn't overshadow your ring and it's classic and  timeless.

Being me however, I can't leave a simple mani alone so I added some silver.

LVX Fall 2015 Monarch

Hello friends!

Fall is just around the corner, with the first day of September coming tomorrow. To celebrate the season, LVX has launched its Fall 2015 collection and it's got a perfect mix of transitional colours to get you from Summer to Fall.

The first colour I have to show you is the perfect gold shade for the season, Monarch. It is a warm gold with a hint of copper tones.

It applied smooth and was opaque in 1 coat.

It's a metallic polish with a shiny finish.

Colour Pop Ultra Matte Solow and Donut

Hello lovelies!

Today's post showcases 2 more shades from Colour Pop Cosmetics Ultra Matte liquid lipstick collection.

The first colour is Solow, a medium dusty pink.

These lipsticks are opaque in 1 coat and are easy to apply.

This is one of my favourites in the collection because it's an everyday colour that can be worn to work or for play. 

The next lipstick to show you is Donut, a light pink with slightly orange undertones. It's brighter than Solow.

Here's a side by side comparison of Solow and Donut.

I was surprised at how Donut looked on my actual lips. It was more vibrant than what I expected.

It's a much more summery shade than Solow is.

Colour Pop Ultra Matte Midi

Hello lovelies!

My recent obsession has been lipstick, in particular liquid lipsticks that dry matte. My new fave brand is Colour Pop because their lipsticks are very highly pigmented, come in a wide array of shades and apply easily.

Today's post is on MIDI, a pink based nude with slightly brown tones. 

So easy to apply because it's opaque in one swipe. This shade is that subtle nude I've been looking for to go with a bold smokey eye.

You can always add a clear gloss over top to create another look, similar to the type of gloss Jennifer Lopez often wears.
