Easter egg-inspired tribal manicure

Hello hunnies!

Today I was inspired to do some Easter designs and one that I'd like to share with you right now is tribal design over light spring colours which make my nails look a bit like Easter eggs!
This design has also been submitted into Nail Polish Canada's Easter contest. Please use the following link to vote for my blog! www.nailpolishcanada.com/easter-nail-art/

I started with a gradient of Sinful Colors Pink Forever, American Apparel L'Esprit, The Face Shop GR506, and an unnamed green Color Club, then topped it off with China Glaze Fairy Dust. I used white acrylic paint to add on the tribal pattern.

Each pattern is unique and that's the great thing about this technique because the pattern combinations are endless, even though you're just using lines and dots.

I really like how the gradient is still visible through the design.

A trick I used when doing this gradient is I applied white craft glue around my cuticles and allowed it to dry before applying the polish. Once you've sponged on the gradient, the excess polish will go on the glue and you can pull off the dried glue once you're done. This minimizes the cleanup of your cuticles and finger tips.

Midi rings from Aldo Acessories.

I have a video tutorial of this on my Instagram. Check it out!

xoxo

  1. It's really cute! The link from NPC doesn't lead back to this entry, though. Just says page not found.
